Interview a dead composer/Musician

Back to E-Learning

Directions

Select one of the composers below to research. You must answer the following criteria below using a Question and Answer format. Get creative, give your composer a "personality" and some personal stories and tangents. I've embedded an example paper for you to read through below. Your responses to the questions should be as the person is speaking them back to you, please see the paper below for an example.

Because I wrote the one on Beethoven, you CANNOT do you paper on Beethoven.

Requirements:
  1. Brief history of the composer's early life, where they were born, early performance and composition history, and any information about their personal life.
  2. Briefly discuss one of their most important pieces. What is the instrumentation, what it's based on/written for someone.
  3. How many pieces they wrote, what was their primary ensemble/instrument, and the last piece they wrote. Was it completed?
  4. How, when, and where did they die?
  5. Include links to the sources at the bottom of the interview. You must have at least 2 sources.
  6. Any other interesting information about the character or life of the composer?

PLEASE Turn in the file as a PDF if possible. Click the link below to turn in your project.
