REPORT TIME:
Report to your contest room at least TWO EVENTS ahead of your scheduled appearance time. In case of conflicts, please inform the room manager and ask for an earlier or later time. If they can, they will try to accommodate schedule changes, but be aware they have to serve the needs of all students already waiting their turn. We will make every attempt to help you if we can, but if you miss your time, your only option may be to perform at the very end of the day's schedule.
You should arrive at Rich East High School no less than 30 Minutes before your performance time (1 HOUR early would be better).
Other Stuff to Know:
· You must give the judge a NUMBERED Original of your piece AND let them know any cuts you are taking (ex: not taking any repeats).
· Food is available throughout the day for purchase
· DRESS NICELY. NO JEANS – NO T-SHIRTS – NO TENNIS SHOES
· Once you are done performing you may leave. You will get your results on Monday. I will post anybody that got a Division I and II on the website Saturday evening.
SOLO Performers:
All soloists will be required to play two of the following scales: Concert C, F, B Flat, E Flat, A Flat, D Flat and G Major, and a chromatic. The scales listed, including the chromatic scale, will be called for in concert pitch and will be played two octaves, both up and down. This means that each player who plays a transposing instrument will have to transpose the given scale. Scales and the chromatic will be played from memory.
Bus Transportation:
You are encouraged to drive yourself but we will offer buses at the following times:
Morning: LEAVES EAHS at 7:45 am Afternoon: LEAVES EAHS at 11:45 am
Arrives at Rich East at 9:00 am Arrives at Rich East at 1:00 pm
LEAVES Rich East at 1:00 pm LEAVES Rich East at 5:00 pm
